My Favorite Project

My favorite English project this semester was our mini-drama. It was an opportunity to unleash my creativity with other people and have fun together. Our skit was based on the fact that New Hampshire is the only New England State where pot is illegal. It opened with “body cam” footage of police officers who pull over a pot dealer. In the back seat, the pot dealer had his attack gorilla in a massive trench coat and a wide-brimmed hat, keeping his head low. As the cops question the dealer, they grow more suspicious and throw accusations. The dealer is searched, and the pot is found on him. However, he sics his animal on the officers.

What I loved about the project was how much fun we had as we threw around ideas. I loved watching each other react to our goofy ideas. Haliee definitely laughed the hardest at my suggestions! Going out to film it was a lot of fun. It took a couple of practice runs for the actors to get the hang of the script, but when we finally had it down, it only took one take. The only downside is that I had to be knocked over in the script, and as a result, I cut my finger, and it was covered in blood for a little while. Other than that, it was a lot of fun.
