in William shakespeare hamlet there is a lot going on. it is known that hamlet goes through many emotion and delusions through the story and what he hears. he wants to avenge his fathers death and goes into a mode of insanity and acts out. he displays his good side to every now and then through out the story. hamlet and ophelia show a lot of mental illness and madness through out the story. in “act 1 scene 1” it is talked abut that hamlet is mer by his fathers ghost and causes madness. his fathers ghost tells him that he was murdered by Claudius, which drives Hamlet to want to seek revenge. This causes him to display erratic behavior. he had a chance to kill Claudius early on, but he wanted to wait until another time to do so. that shows sign of him planning and plotting on when to kill him and shows how crazy hamlet gets. the way he acts goes out of line

the society watching hamlet sees his disability as visible throughout his story and sees all different emotions and actions coming from him. he first acts out when he heard from the ghost that claudious killed his father Not only did Claudius kill his brother, but he killed his brother in order to gain his power and steal his wife. This makes Hamlet upset, and is what ultimately launches his plan to revenge. some people may say his feelings were not as bad as they made out to be. maybe they were just right in response to his fathers death but, he showed more signs of being crazy. he also showed crazy emotions when ophelia rejects him and then he lies about his feelings for her and makes it worse thinking it would be better.

a book and story that relates to william shakespeare hamlet is “the dead fathers club” by matt haig. this book has the same plot concept of a boy who meets his father ghost and gets manipulated. quote and summary “Eleven-year-old Philip Noble has a big problem: His dad, who was killed in a car accident, appears as a bloodstained ghost at his own funeral and introduces Philip to the Dead Fathers Club. The club, whose members were all murdered, gathers outside the Castle and Falcon, the local pub that Philip’s family owns and lives above. Philip’s father tells him that Uncle Alan killed him and he must avenge his death. When Philip realizes that Uncle Alan has designs on his mom and the family pub, Philip decides that something must be done. But it’s a much bigger job than he anticipated, especially when he is caught up by the usual distractions of childhood—a pretty girl, wayward friends, school bullies, and his own self-doubt. The Dead Fathers Club is a riveting, imaginative, and quirky update of Shakespeare’s great tragedy that will establish Matt Haig as a young writer of great talent and imagination.”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/132556.The_Dead_Fathers_Club. this was from a different book with the same idea and plot as hamlet. shows a lot of similarities in regards of being delusional and going on a rampage of emotions. this has a lot to do with the hamlet story and relates a lot. all and all, i do see how these people feel this way and act the way they do. even tho it may not be right, its hard not act out and when you get told different things its hard to believe whats right. hamlet gets told and went through a lot of things and that made him do things he shouldnt of.

hamlets disabilities caused a lot of issues through the story for him and who was around him. depression and being mentally ill is a real problem and causes problems like this. you start to do things and say things that you dont mean and usually regret later on. he wanted others to feel his pain and that is not a normal thing to do. he displayed many signs of being bipolar. he was normal a few times when he wanted to be during the story and then the rest he was mentally ill and was being physco with clinical depression. in conclusion, this was my essay about hamlet William shakespeare and about his disability and how it affects others in a bad way that causes madness and stress
