Hello everyone! I have attached a video that is just me explaining the Hamlet interactive fiction that I’ve been making called You As Hamlet.
Since it’s a pretty big project, I’ll be publishing the finished product for the next project deadline!
So for now, here’s the preview video 🙂
Some links for further reading, in case you’re interested in the story and the program that I’ve used to create this piece:
- Twine Cookbook
- The program that I’ve used to create interactive fiction is Twine! The Twine Cookbook is a guide to the program and how it works – very useful for deciding what format you would like to use, depending on your writing.
- An example of a Twine, “September 7th, 2020” by Cait S. Kirby
- It is written in a different format than the one I used, but it’s a fantastic example of how the program works from the player’s side and discusses important topics including disability and Covid. I highly recommend giving it a read!
- Shakespeare’s Hamlet
- My interactive story, You As Hamlet, is based upon the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. If you’re interested, it can be found to read for free online on Project Gutenberg!
